From the glowing screens of Hawkins Lab
to the shifting walls of the Upside Down,
perception is everything. Frontend Flayer draws inspiration from the
Mind Flayer—an entity that controls
through structure, precision, and influence.
Event Description
Frontend Flayer is a UI/UX design competition that tests participants’ creativity, usability thinking, and attention to detail using Figma. Designers are challenged to create original interfaces and accurately replicate real-world website designs, focusing on clarity, consistency, and user experience.
📜 Event Rules
- Each participant/team must bring their own laptop
- Figma account is mandatory
🥇 Round 1 – UI Design & Explanation
Duration: 25 Minutes
🧩 Task
- Participants will be given a design problem on the spot
- Design a single screen UI using Figma
- After design, participants must explain their design choices
📜 Rules
- Figma only
- No templates
- No Figma community files
- No AI tools
- Explanation time: 1–2 minutes per team
Shortlisting: Top teams move to Round 2
🥈 Round 2 – Website Cloning Challenge
Duration: 40 Minutes
🧩 Task
- Participants must clone a given website UI exactly using Figma
📜 Rules
- Match layout, spacing, colors, and typography
- Internet allowed only for viewing the reference website
- No downloading files or templates
- No AI tools
